COMPARISON IS DANGEROUS

Raise your hand if you’ve ever looked at someone and thought ‘damn, I wish I could be like them.’ I’m 100% certain that every single person on the planet has their hand in the air. Comparing ourselves to others is something we do whether we mean to or not. There’s always someone who we consider ‘more talented,’ ‘prettier’ or ‘skinnier.’ We live in an age where the media portrays ‘perfection’ and ‘happiness’ in a way that is detrimental. I think this is something that we’re not going to get rid of anytime soon, but I want to try and address and bring to light the reality of comparing yourself to others and help you to try and stop.

WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY | 22/6/16

It is officially the summer holidays and mine are already off to a fabulous start. I’ve already hung out with friends on various occasions, got a bit too drunk at a party, completed my induction for my new job that I start next month and today I went to see The Conjuring 2. I may not be a huge film watcher, but horrors are an exception. Of course no cinema trip is complete without snacks and I had my snacking A-game on today.

BREAKING THE HABITS

If you followed my old blog or watch my YouTube videos, you may know that I have struggled with eating problems. I am currently in a place where I am a healthy weight and my body is almost fully physically recovered. However, over the past month or so it has came to my attention that there is still a fair amount to work to do in terms of my mental recovery and there is only one way to break through the barrier that is stopping my from making a full recovery: breaking the habits.

WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY | 15/6/16

Today I was reunited with one of my best friends after almost a month. I don’t see her nearly enough these days! I find that the older you get, the harder it gets to make plans with friends. Everyone is just busy, busy, busy with work and other commitments. There is always one thing you can count on though. No matter how busy life gets, you can always make time for some delicious & nutritious food.

WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY | 8/6/16

On Sunday I went out for a meal to celebrate my Gran’s 70th birthday. She decided on Zizzi’s which is a guaranteed winner. Italian food is always the best. I always want to try and make these posts as varied as possible so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to show you guys how I would eat when going out for a meal.

HEALTHY SNACK HAUL

Over the past couple of weeks I seem to have spent more money on food than is deemed necessary and in all honestly, I have no regrets. I recently uploaded a separate healthy snack haul on my YouTube channel and had no intention of buying any more. Clearly that intent went out the window. Instead of uploading another haul video, I thought I’d share what I bought on here. This is a foodie blog after all.

GRAZE YUMMERTIME SNACK REVIEW

It’s that time of year again where Graze release a new range of snacks. I’ve been subscribed to this snack service for over two years now and there is still nothing that excites me more than when a new batch of creative snacks are announced. Naturally, I clicked ‘send soon’ on all of them and I was not disappointed.

YUMMERTIME PUNCH

I’m a huge fan of the dried fruit punnets in Graze – especially the ones with coconut – so I knew that this was going to be an instant winner. Dried pineapple, golden berries & coconut. A real tropical treat! I like to use these dried fruit combos to top my weetabix which is exactly what I did with this along with some honey. It made for a good and nutritious breakfast with an exotic touch. I had never tried golden berries before but I am a huge lover of berries and this one was no exception.
