Another month, another Sourced Box. The August box sees a lot of returning brands which is great since it’s always a struggle to try and get my hands on these products. From tea to kale crisps to protein bars, this box is probably one of the most varied yet! So, without further ado, let’s get into it.

Not only are we treated to one drink this month, but we’re treated to three! I’ve already tried and loved the ‘Sibberi’ birch water so I’m intrigued as to what the the bamboo one is like. These tree waters are great if you’re looking for something that’s different to plain water but has less sugar than coconut water. There are also two teas from ‘Yuyo’ included in this months box: a peppermint tea & a herbal tea with grapefruit. What makes these teas so different is the fact that they have a ‘super plant’ in them called ‘yerba mate.’ I’m not a huge tea drinker but I do enjoy it from time to time so will definitely be trying these out.

Berries are by far my favourite type of fruit. Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, I love them all! However, one berry that I have never tried (as far as I’m aware) is mulberries. Well, that won’t be the case for long. ‘The Raw Chocolate Company’s’ raw vanoffe mulberries coated in their vanilla toffee flavoured chocolate. The combination sounds divine and I cannot wait to delve into this little packet.

From the indulgent to the simple. Sometimes all you need is some dried fruit without any of the coatings. These dried cranberries by ‘Clearly Scrumptious’ make the perfect snack if you’re craving something sweet but want to avoid that packet of Haribo. However, I’ll be using these to top my weetabix. I used to adore the dried cranberry & weetabix combo but haven’t had these little red berries in a while so I’ll be taking full advantage of this little packet.

I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love the combination of sweet & salty flavours. This months box has blessed me with two typically savoury snacks but with that added sweet kick. I’m incredibly intrigued by these kale crisps by ‘Inspiral.’ These crisps are coated in a baobab & onion cashew nut sauce. Sounds a bit odd but I have a feeling that they’re gonna be pretty damn good. After all, Sourced Box previously included Inspiral’s raspberry coconut chips which sounded interesting but tasted delicious. We also have a different flavour of olives by ‘Oloves.’ I love the packets these little guys come in. Makes it super handy to take with you on-the-go! This time we have the lemon & rosemary flavour. I don’t think I’m going to like them as much as the chili and oregano ones but I’m sure they’re going to taste good nonetheless.

Sourced Box have certainly provided the protein punch this month! Not one, not two, but THREE products are bursting with the protein power. Two of the brands are repeat offenders – ‘Creative Nature Superfoods’ and ‘The Protein Ball Co.’ The latter I’m super excited about. I adored the gogi & coconut protein balls that were in the box a few months ago and even though you can buy them in Holland & Barrett, I’ve never been willing to buy a packet at £2 a pop. So, I’m over the moon that I finally get to try another flavour! This time it’s lemon & pistachio, and replacing the ‘gogi goodness’ raw flapjack  we have the ‘peanut protein’ bar. This was actually the first thing I ate from the box and it did not disappoint. I’m always a huge lover of anything peanut flavoured. We also have one of ‘Planet Organic’s’ own raw bars.

Our last two products are two more returning brands. I loved the raw maca & cinnamon munchies by ‘Raw Gorilla’ so am super excited to try these raw cacao & lucuma ones especially since it’s a more chocolatey flavour. As an added extra this month, we’ve got something completely different! Omega 3 supplements by ‘Chia Bia.’ I typically don’t take supplements but only because it’s something I’ve never really looked into and thought about before. With the original price of these being around £15 though I’m not going to complain and may just give them a try.
