Yesterday I went into Glasgow with my boyfriend to collect my student card so I thought it would be a bit more interesting to document what I ate on a day where I was out and about. I was reunited with my beloved Boots meal deal and had my third (yes, THIRD) pumpkin spice latte of the season.
So, without further ado, let’s get right on into it.
PORRIDGE WITH APPLE & COCONUT CHOC SHOT
Nothing new for breakfast here. Porridge made with soy milk topped with apple & my favourite coconut choc shot by ‘Sweet Freedom.’
TUNA, ROASTED PEPPERS & PEA SANDWICH
SOUR CREAM & BLACK PEPPER POPCORN
I made a typical blogger mistake and started eating before remembering I needed to take a picture. Oops. Before we headed up to the uni, we decided to get some lunch beforehand. While my boyfriend had a Burger King, I went for a meal deal. My favourite thing about the Boots meal deals is that they include EVERYTHING in it so you can really save quite a bit of money and there is an endless amount to choose from. I went for this tuna, grilled peppers & pea sandwich. A bit of an odd combination and for a while I was a bit hesitant to try it since the idea of having peas in a sandwich just didn’t seem very appealing. However, it’s pretty good and is also 1 of your 5-a-day so you can’t really go wrong!
SOY PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE
It’s here. My favourite time of year. My favourite Starbucks drink. Yes, I am 100% a stereotypical white girl when it comes to Autumn. The saddest part of this is that it isn’t even officially out yet and this was my third one of the year. Rewards members are able to get the seasonal drinks a week early so naturally I have taken advantage of that offer! I’m not a fan of whipped cream so I always have it without. It definitely doesn’t look as photogenic without it, but it still tastes 10/10. When you get to the bottom and you get all the pumpkin syrup…UGH, YES PLEASE!
PASTA WITH CHUNKY VEGETABLE SAUCE
After a day walking around Glasgow, a home comfort meal was needed. Pasta will always be one of my favourite foods. With a tomato sauce & a sprinkling of cheese you get a lovingly warming and satisfying dish.
‘STREET FOOD’ KOH SAMUI THAI SPICE
I’ve never been the biggest film & TV watcher but I’m slowly starting to watch more things. Since finishing ‘Scream’ I had been looking for a new show to watch and finally decided on ‘Bates Motel.’ So far so good! Of course, it’s pretty compulsory to have some snacks while watching evening TV and I had bought this ‘street food’ the other day in Holland & Barrett since it was reduced and seemed interesting. I was intrigued as to what the honey red pepper almonds would taste like but oh my god, they were the best thing in this little mix. The perfect combination between sweet and savoury.
