Just like last month, my Vegan Kind box arrived on the same day as Sourced Box so it was snacks galore! Just as Sourced Box was, this little box was filled with festive goodies getting us right into the Christmas spirit.
There was certainly no slacking of the festive treats in this box. Whether you’re tasting or smelling, TVK have well and truly kitted us out for the Christmas season. Being vegan doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the classic Christmas snacks. These mince pies by the Foods of Athenry are both vegan and gluten free and are the cutest ones I have ever seen with their star design. We also have these orange chocolates by Cocoa Libre. Shaped as little Santas and reindeer you’ll probably have to try your hardest to refrain yourself from eating all 6 in one go – I know I will and I’ve never been the biggest fan of orange chocolate! TVK have also included a candy cane. Perfect for hanging on the Christmas tree!
The non-food item this month is a candle by Harper’s Bizarre. This ‘Halo’ scent isn’t usually my go-to Christmas scent. It’s a lot more subtle with citrus undertones while I usually go all out with the cinnamon and spice, but I do actually quite like it.
Sometimes you gotta try and balance out all of the chocolate and mince pies you eat over the month of December by having a bit more of a healthier snack now and then. I was happy to see the inclusion of two of my favourite brands this month: Ape and Good. Ape recently released a whole new range of products and these salted chocolate coconut curls are one of them. I’m a huge fan of the lightly salted curls so I have been eager to try these ever since they were announced. They have a subtle chocolate taste and the combination of the cocoa powder and salt is to perfection.
It was typical that this bar was included in this months box. If you saw my Vegfest haul post then you’ll know that I bought a number of these bars and so was already fairly stocked up! However, I believe that you can never have too many snack bars. This one is a double chocolate raw bar filled with good-for-you ingredients. Perfect for a little health kick but with a bit of an indulgence.
Lastly we have a tea by We Are Tea. Perfect for trying to balance out all of the mulled wine and god knows what other alcoholic beverages we’ll be consuming. This tea has red berries and calendula petals in and is meant to make your skin glow. Since I’m not a huge lover of herbal teas I probably won’t enjoy this as much as others might but I’m up for giving it a go.
