After last months fail of a box, I knew that this months The Vegan Kind box had to be much better. I can confirm that it 100% is. I’ve already devoured the majority of the snacks and am back to being thoroughly impressed with TVK’s lifestyle box.

I know this post is later than usual and that’s because I was seriously contemplating not posting this months box at all. Why? Well, I had an unfortunate incident with one of this months products, or so I believe. When I write these posts I want to be 100% true with you guys and so when I say that this box has been my least favourite I want you to know that it’s for good reason and that reason will be explained. However, despite the misfortune surrounding this box I continue to look forward to all future TVK boxes.

For some reason I had it in my head that today was Wednesday so I was all ready to hit out with another ‘What I Ate Wednesday’ post. So you can imagine my annoyance when I realised it was actually Thursday. I honestly have no idea where this week is going (personally I blame all the studying I’ve been having to do this week. My brain is turning to mush!) However, I thought I would still write up a what I eat in a day post. After all, Wednesday isn’t the only day of the week that I eat.

Firstly I want to apologise for the lack of posts this past month. I’ve been so caught up with uni that any free time I’ve had to focus on my blog and YouTube I’ve been putting it solely on YouTube. Now that my classes have finished though and all that’s left is to study for my one exam, I’m going to make sure that my blog is back on its A-game.

So, I thought that my first post in this comeback should be a little what I eat in a day post. But this isn’t just your average food diary. I’ve just returned from a trip down south visiting my Grandad with my sister where we also spent a day in London. I thought it would be interesting to share with you guys what I ate while I was there.

Today is my sister’s birthday and as is the annual tradition we went out for dinner in celebration. Usually we go to the same places but last night we went to Filling Station which is an American restaurant and bar that has recently opened fairly nearby. As we had never been before and as it isn’t an overly common restaurant chain, I thought I would write up a little review of the place.

Since Christmas is a time for eating anything and everything, I thought it would be interesting to share with you guys what I eat on Christmas. I know from personal experience that this time of year can always be a bit daunting for those with an eating disorder. Christmas 2013 was a huge struggle for me. Three years later I am in a much better place and truly embraced the festive season. Let this festive edition of ‘What I Ate Wednesday’ commence!

With only a few more days to go until the big day, no doubt you’ll have already dived into the mince pies and boxes of Quality Street. As much as I am all about eating whatever you want – especially at Christmastime – I’m also all about balance and even though that balance may go a bit skew-whiff during December, I do try my best to keep some healthy snacks on hand. Here are just a few healthy festive treats that you should¬†try over the next week or so to let your body know that you’re not COMPLETELY neglecting proper nutrition (unfortunately the fruit in a mince pie does not count as one of your 5-a-day).

Healthy brands that put a Christmas twist on their products please me immensley. This Christmas Pud nakd. bar is one of my favourite flavours. Made with nothing but dates, cashews, raisins & a hint of natural flavouring, this raw bar has a true Christmassy taste while also counting as one of your 5-a-day. pudding-de-noel-z
