Another month, another box of vegan goodies. Naturally there was a bit of a pink theme in this months Vegan Kind box due to it being the ‘
month of love.’ I’m still standing by the whole who needs love when you have lots of delicious food?
I very rarely go to book signings. The idea of having to queue up just to briefly chat for a few seconds with the author before being rushed away has never really appealed to me. However, when I saw that Ella Mills (formally Woodward) was doing not only a signing in Glasgow in support of her new recipe book ‘Deliciously Ella with Friends‘ but also a Q&A session I jumped at the chance to go. As you probably all know, I am a huge believer in living a healthy, balanced lifestyle and my main concern in this is always food. Ella is one of the people that continues to inspire me to eat well while also encouraging me to actually get into the kitchen and cook (something I’m not very confident with).
Firstly I want to apologise for my disappearance over the past two weeks. The end of last month and the whole of this month is pretty hectic. Turns out I’m not overly good with balancing uni work, a social life and my other interests and it’s unfortunately the latter that suffers most. However, I’ve made time this evening to write up my monthly Sourced Box post.
What with February being the month of Valentines Day, this months box heavily reflects that. From heart shaped snacks to indulgent chocolate, who needs true love when you have snacks?
Welcome back to another What I Ate Wednesday! Once again, I feel as though it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these so I thought it was about time to get my butt in gear and share with you all the sweet, sweet food I’ve been eating.
A year ago I received the first ever Sourced Box. 12 months later I still have no regrets about signing up to this healthy snacking subscription. I still feel that same excitement I felt that very first month whenever I receive the dispatched email.
The first box of 2017 is packed full of treats to give your body that extra nutritious boost we all feel we need after the festive period. From vegetable crisps to raw chocolate, you can start the year off on a health high.
The first Vegan Kind box of 2017 has arrived and it’s definitely helping us subscribers get the year to a fabulous start. After a month of indulgence most of us are feeling we need a bit of a health kick and TVK have us sorted. From popcorn to green tea, this months box will help feed your body that bit of extra nutrition.
Since Christmas is a time for eating anything and everything, I thought it would be interesting to share with you guys what I eat on Christmas. I know from personal experience that this time of year can always be a bit daunting for those with an eating disorder. Christmas 2013 was a huge struggle for me. Three years later I am in a much better place and truly embraced the festive season. Let this festive edition of ‘What I Ate Wednesday’ commence!
With only a few more days to go until the big day, no doubt you’ll have already dived into the mince pies and boxes of Quality Street. As much as I am all about eating whatever you want – especially at Christmastime – I’m also all about balance and even though that balance may go a bit skew-whiff during December, I do try my best to keep some healthy snacks on hand. Here are just a few healthy festive treats that you should try over the next week or so to let your body know that you’re not COMPLETELY neglecting proper nutrition (unfortunately the fruit in a mince pie does not count as one of your 5-a-day).
CHRISTMAS PUD NAKD. BAR
Healthy brands that put a Christmas twist on their products please me immensley. This Christmas Pud nakd. bar is one of my favourite flavours. Made with nothing but dates, cashews, raisins & a hint of natural flavouring, this raw bar has a true Christmassy taste while also counting as one of your 5-a-day.
